Mr. Sharad Pawar is Agriculture minister of India, and it is his responsibility to control the availability and prices of food items. But as many if you know that he is always heard of speaking about price rise. He has predicted many months back that prices of sugar will go up. And it happened! He has also predicted that the price of rice will go up and voila it happened again! So we can say that he has very good understanding of the market and future prices of food items. After all he is agriculture minister of India.
But when some one asked when the sugar prices will go down then he replies I am not an astrologer. So the question arises that when he can not forecast the prices going down then how come he successfully forecast the price rise.
And yesterday he has said that the milk prices will also go up as there is shortage of milk. Now the milk merchants and middle-men has received a green signal from Sharad Pawar, to increase the price. Now they have a reason for this – after all the agriculture minister of India himself admitted that there is shortage and prices will go up. What a shame! The minister which should guide the market to reduce the price is himself asking them all to increase the price – first it was Rice, then Sugar and now it is Milk.
The day is not ahead when we have to pay Rs. 50-60 for one liter of milk. We are already paying Rs.110 per kg for pulses and Rs. 55 per kg for sugar.
I humbly request the prime minister of India to dismiss Mr. Pawar from all government positions and appoint some responsible person for the post. If this does not happen now then I am afraid that after another year passes we have to pay Rs. 50 for 1 kg Salt also. Who know tomorrow – Mr Pawar announces that there is shortage of Salt and price are “likely” to increase.
