The unexpected price rise of almost everything

We are living in Gurgaon, Haryana, and since last 1.5 years, I have seen that prices are going up and up everyday. There are no exceptions except the mobile phone bills. Be it Rice, Flour, Milk, Bread, Sweets, Butter, Oil, Spices, Vegetables, Tea OR Cloths the prices are just more than double.

Rice which we used to buy at Rs. 12-15 per Kg is now being sold at minimum price of Rs. 24-26. The tea which was around Rs. 50 for 250 gms is now being sold at Rs. 70 for just 200 gms. Milk was at Rs. 22 is now at Rs. 28. Butter which we used to buy at Rs. 80-82 (500 gms) is now available at Rs. 107.I was almost shocked to know one day that the Ghee which was at Rs. 160-180 per Kg is now at Rs. 300-340 per Kg. Potato which we eat almost everyday in almost all our foos items is now at Rs. 35 per Kg, earlier it was at Rs. 10-15 in same period of time.

I can not see any valid reason for this, except the failure of government in controlling the rise. Now if some one asks – that what the government is doing to control it – they say that this is due to the shortage of monsoon. But are not the aware that this increase is there since last more than a Year, this does not happend in just 3-4 months.

The congress government says that they work for common man, but I do not know what is the benefit to common man in this. The bus fares, metro fares all are going up.
