Whoever says that a good entertaining movie can not give a great message should go and watch 3 Idiots. While on one hand movie is great fun, it also gives a message so loud that it makes you think about it seriously. The education system in India, is being critisized by most of us that it puts a lot of pressure on the student to get marks. We do not care if a student learnt a damn thing or not but he/she should get marks that beat all. If one can not get that then he/she is the worst student in country.
This philosophy was presented by Mr Viru Shahasrabuddhi. Who taughts student to come first or get unnoticed. He also represents the old indian mindset that a girl should be a doctor and a boy should be an engineer. [Does it indirectly says that girls are less intelligent than boys??? Of course I am a boy 
]
Whereas Rancho the student says that one should opt for a profession which he likes. If you love photography then you should try to become a great photographer, and if you like cooking then you should try to become a great chef etc. Then you will be able to give your 100% and be satisfied.
The film rightly says that – love your work and you will never have to work in your life. You will enjoy it. To beceom successfull you do not need a great rank – you need to be excellent in what you do, whatever it is.
